CONWAY — “The Last Romance” completes M&D Playhouse’s trilogy of the work of playwright Joe DiPietro, which started with “Clever Little Lies” in January and continued with “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” in July.
Each show has dealt with relationships and love in its various stages. “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” was a series of sketches exploring these subjects, the best of which centered on an elderly man and woman rediscovering love late in life. “The Last Romance” essentially stretches that scene into a full-length play.
