CONWAY — Director Dennis O’Neil and Arts in Motion Theater Co. are reteaming for “Rumors,” their second Neil Simon production together, following last year’s successful “The Sunshine Boys.” The production, which opened Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Majestic Theatre in Conway with performances Thursday through Sunday for the next two weeks, is riotously funny.
Written in 1988, this is a later-era Simon script and his first farce. It came after a trilogy of semi-autobiographical plays, “Brighton Beach Memoirs,” “Biloxi Blues” and “Broadway Bound,” which blended comedy and drama. Simon wanted to return to outright comedy.
