TAMWORTH — When vehicles — be they motor vehicles or theatrical vehicles — get to a certain age, they sometimes earn the epithet of “classic.” Likewise, if people who hone their craft stick around long enough, they are often termed legends.
But whether we’re talking cars or comedies, oldies aren’t always goodies. My “classic” Mini Cooper just cost me another $2,000 repair and is starting to seem more like a beater. And certain shows, tarnished by sexism, racism or other problematic material, are sometimes more cringe than classical.
