I always find it incredible that folks allow mowing of their fields (in order to maintain open space) to be conducted at the same time farm tractors are harvesting in July.

I can understand contractors having their sickle bars still attached and looking to complete work in the same week as when actively engaged in cutting hay, but this can be detrimental to wildlife if that is not the landowner’s main goal.
