BROWNFIELD, Maine — American music masters Edgar Meyer (double bass) and Mike Marshall (mandolin) reunite with George Meyer (violin) for a special collaboration usually heard only on the summer bluegrass festival circuit. This exceptional trio brings together generations of artistry, blending deep tradition with fearless musical exploration.
Edgar is an American double bass player and composer. His styles include classical, bluegrass, newgrass and jazz. He has won seven Grammy awards and been nominated ten times. Mike Marshall is a virtuoso on the mandolin. He is considered one of the world's most accomplished and versatile string instrumentalists in America today. Violinist George Meyer, Edgar’s son, is charting his own course in the musical world, representing the next generation of artists expressing their unique voices and perspectives. While his roots run deep, his sound is very much his own, bringing a youthful energy and contemporary edge to this remarkable collaboration.
