Fryeburg Fair is a hidden gem for music lovers. The eight-day celebration of farming, country crafts and amusement park rides is also a great place to find some of the best local and regional music in the Mount Washington Valley area.
The fair, which runs Oct. 4-11, brings in top bands from around the region to fill more than 130 performance slots. That’s in addition to the evening performances almost every night at the grandstand, which draw big crowds (as many as 8,000 to 12,000 people) and include national acts.
