CONWAY — The last Saturday in April is Independent Bookstore Day and White Birch Books will be joining more than 1600 stores across the country to participate this Saturday, April 25.

New this year, White Birch Books has partnered with The Country Bookseller in Wolfeboro and Innisfree Bookshops in Meredith and Laconia to create the New Hampshire Mountains & Lakes Book Trail. From Friday to Sunday, April 24-26, participants only need to visit the three bookstores to be entered to win a variety of gift cards, with the grand prize being a $50 gift card to each store. No purchase is necessary, but the trail map (bookmark) must be stamped at each store to qualify.
