CONWAY — When local historian Brian P. Wiggin began writing “The Heritage I Was Handed: Growing Up in Rural New Hampshire,” he wanted to pay homage to a Conway where everyone knew one another and where Conway Village's Main Street was lined with thriving businesses.

In a recent  UN-TV interview, Wiggin discussed the book, as well an upcoming book signing at White Birch Books in North Conway at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
