CONWAY — Senior tri-captains Wyatt Arriaga, Riley Fletcher and Justin Olson each knocked down a pair of three-pointers in a 24-15 third-quarter run to lead the Kennett High boys’ basketball team to a 52-41 victory over visiting Souhegan in the opening round of the Division II tournament before a large, vocal crowd at the Peter Ames Gymnasium on Monday night.
“We played hard and kept our composure the whole way,” said Jack Loynd, Eagles’ head coach, said. “The big key was we played great team defense. I’ve said it all season, these guys love to compete.”
