PENACOOK — Every point counts; just ask the Kennett High football team. The Eagles are just a couple of points away from heading into October with a 3-1 record, but instead find themselves at 1-3.

The hometown flock gave up 15 unanswered points in the fourth quarter on Saturday to fall 15-14 to Merrimack Valley in Penacook. The Pride improved to 4-0 after scoring a touchdown with nine seconds to play, and then ran in the successful two-point conversion to take their lone lead of the afternoon.
