CONWAY — With the high school hockey season just a few short weeks away, several local skaters have been getting ready by playing for the Carroll County Hockey Club in the fall 18U season of the Granite State League.
This team was established as a partnership between Mt. Washington Valley Youth Hockey Association and Back Bay Hockey of Wolfeboro and split their home games between Ham Arena in Conway and Pop Whalen Arena in Wolfeboro. While the majority of the players on this team will be taking the ice for Kennett High School this winter, the team was made up of players from six other high schools in Maine and New Hampshire, including two from the Western Maine IceCats and players from Kingswood, Brewster Academy, Inter-Lakes, Laconia and Spaulding.
