It’s hard to believe it’s early July already. It’s also hard to believe the Red Sox are playing as well as they are. Next week, Major League Baseball will stage its symbolic mid-season showpiece which is the All-Star Game. The title of the event says it all, a battle of two fan-voted super teams from each league playing an exhibition game that celebrates everything we love about America’s pastime. When I was a kid, this was one of the few nights on the sports calendar I looked forward to the most because 2000s baseball was like living in paradise with all the legendary players that were out there.
