There are three big reasons why Bob Macdonald will fail in his bid for a third term as mayor of Lewiston this November.

Macdonald, who had no prior political experience before winning the seat in 2011, is a former police officer. A staunch Republican of the worst kind, he's made a name for himself as a supporter of Gov. Paul LePage and the backwards policy ideas regarding things like welfare and immigration reform that have been spewing out of the Blaine House for the past five years.
