A few weeks ago, on one of the first busy Saturdays of spring, three of us were looking for a moderate hike without a lot people. We chose Table Mountain (2,610 feet) in Bartlett. It was just what we wanted.

That morning, we drove north on Route 302 from Glen. At the four corners in Bartlett village, we took a left on Albany Avenue, which turned into the ascending Bear Notch Road. In 2.7 miles from Route 302, we turned left into the small trail parking lot for the Attitash Trail.
