The valley's eastern edge where New Hampshire and Maine often meet and mingle is loaded with opportunity for every level of cyclist. Fryeburg's known for its flats and fields but also for some hilly terrain. There are plenty of rollers in Conway and Eaton as well. Put them together for an undulating nearly 27-mile spin for the intermediate cyclist that passes by the pines as well as stunning Crystal Lake in Eaton with its quintessential New England backdrop of woodlands and white steepled church.

I enjoy this ride as it serves up some wavy hills, but also gives a bit of relief, on occasion.
