The 2023 Orvis Dealer Summit was one to remember. Orvis had been testing a new Helios fly rod, the fourth generation of this iconic rod. As we watched one of the Helios rods being flexed until it exploded ( the rod was bent until the tip almost touched the reel seat) my mind marveled at how Orvis has always been at the forefront of rod design.

It was impressive that Orvis would now have the lightest, strongest, and most accurate rod in the fly fishing world. Maintaining category dominance is hard in this day and age. Orvis would again show they had what it took to be number one.
