Although Eversource recently filed new electricity supply prices with the state that if approved would bring the rate down to 20.2 cents per kilowatt hour from the current rate of 22.6 cents per Kw. However, the decrease won’t happen until February, and the new rate would still be nearly double the one from last February of 10.7 cents per Kw. Meanwhile, the price of fuel oil is now averaging $5 per gallon, and propane, $3.78. It seems no matter how you heat your house, you will be facing steep bills this winter.

This week’s Teletalk: What steps are you taking in response to higher home heating bills?

Turning down my heat at night and sharing my bed with two Australian shepherds. Those are my dogs not shepherds from Australia.
