To the editor:

Voters in Eaton approved a warrant article in their town meeting on March 12 to continue having sheriff’s coverage for a third year. This is in response to rising traffic and speeding on Route 153 and Brownfield Road in Eaton that resulted in 10 traffic accidents last year despite over 400 speeding stops by our sheriff and a speed limit reduction. Tragically, there was a traffic fatality of a young lady two years ago.
