TELE-TALK: Do you think voters deserve an explanation when two longtime selectmen suddenly quit?

Longtime Conway selectmen Mary Seavey and John Colbath unexpectedly resigned recently. Seavey, who was re-elected this April, had served on the board for 15 years, the past six as chair. Colbath was in the middle of his fourth term. Colbath simply said he was resigning for “personal reasons beyond my control.” Seavey said, “I have decided it’s time to step down.” The remaining three selectmen will appoint replacements for Colbath and Seavey over the next several weeks.
