Building a new home? Don't forget home fire sprinklers

(BPT) - If you're looking into new construction for your next home, you'll want to be sure it's fire safe. The nature and intensity of house fires have changed over the years. They can become deadly in as little as two minutes, leaving little time to escape.

Why? House fires are hotter, faster and more dangerous because today's homes are filled with products that burn quickly and produce toxic smoke. These include synthetics, plastics, lithium-ion batteries and more. Smoke alarms warn when there is smoke, but occupants must still escape. Fire sprinklers are the only technology that can automatically stop a fire from becoming deadly.
