The Marine Toys for Tots Foster Care Program’s Room for Joy initiative stands ready to support children navigating the foster care system based on the belief that even a single donation can create meaningful impact and make Room for Joy in the heart of a foster child.
Imagine being a young child or teen, suddenly removed from everything familiar and handed a single bag in which to hold your life’s belongings. This is the painful reality for more than 400,000 at-risk children, including those in foster care, in the United States today. That’s why, this National Foster Care Month, Toys for Tots’ Foster Care Program is highlighting the profound impact supporters can have on young people facing the uncertainty of the foster care system.
