FRYEBURG, Maine — There’s a Valentine’s story on Main Street in Fryeburg. Roy and Duddie Andrews will be married 50 years next year. With only about 7 percent of American relationships achieving that length of marital togetherness, we’re celebrating their story on Valentine’s Day.

Roy grew up in Fryeburg, a hardworking farm boy. He attended Fryeburg Academy, graduating in 1956. After high school, he served in the Army for two years as part of the honor guard at Arlington Cemetary. After discharge, he headed back to the family farm, Old Riverside, in North Fryeburg.
