SWEDEN, Maine — A naked man with a rifle who emerged from the Maine woods Monday afternoon resulted in him being taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. 

On Monday, at approximately 2:45 p.m., the Oxford County Regional Communications Center received a report of a naked male subject who had emerged from the woods along Knights Hill Road carrying a rifle. The man was covered in mud and woody debris and apparently interacted with several contractors working at a nearby job site.
