Tearing down this 800-foot building at 15 Moultonville Road would create 20 parking spaces, said Ossipee Selectman Jonathan Smith. (DAYMOND STEER PHOTO)

OSSIPEE — Selectmen on Tuesday took the final step toward demolishing the former Main Street building at 15 Moultonborough Road, but a couple of residents questioned whether the board was following the proper procedure.

Eighty-one people attended a June 27, 2024, special town meeting held at the town hall. Probably two-thirds of attendees or more voted in a show of hands/cards to tear down the building.

It’s amazing how much controversy the Ossipee select board creates, and the tax payer dollars they waste
