OSSIPEE — Town officials Monday mulled difficult choices about furloughing employees due to financial effects from the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Wednesday, selectmen met again and rescinded votes they made to furlough town workers.

Fat chance furloughing town workers. The days of the public servant are long gone. Now the private sector has become the servant of the public sector due to union contracts.
