OSSIPEE — On Friday morning, selectmen fired Ossipee police officer Carrie Blackwood at the recommendation of Police Chief Donald Babbin, who said that she drove to Rochester and interfered with another department’s investigation; twice left drugs taken as evidence on her desk rather than in the secure evidence room; took a picture in the evidence room and then posted it to social media; and blocked comments on a department Facebook post.

The hearing was held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Ossipee Town Hall. About 30 people attended. It was open to the public at Blackwood’s request. However, no public input was allowed.
