CONWAY — The Professional Development Center at the SAU 9 office was alive with the sound of music on Nov. 25. Members of the Mountainside Intermediate School’s grade 4-5 chorus opened the Conway School Board meeting with a song that ended with a standing ovation from everyone on hand.

Jennifer Bradeen, the music teacher at Mountainside, and a small sampling of the 68-member chorus — Ruby Armenio, Kinzly Bergstrom, Kendall Blaney, Adalaide Crane, Parker Day, Kira DiGregorio, Hannah DiRienzo, Leanne Fox, Liam Huey, Aaliyah Lundrigan, Claire McDonald, Mae Morin, Danni Sarson, Sylvan Saunders, Stella Smith, Riley Wiswell and Sophia Zalenski — performed “With My Own Two Hands,” written by Ben Harper.
