GORHAM — If you felt a large rumble shortly before 1 a.m. Friday it was not a bad dream or something falling on your house.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a minor earthquake hit the Gorham area in the middle of the snowstorm that dropped about a foot of snow locally. The quake measured 2.9 on the magnitude scal,e which is intense enough to be felt indoors with vibrations similar to a passing truck.
