CONWAY — While it has a been a winter to remember for snow sports enthusiasts, the white stuff can’t melt soon enough for the barred owls, which are starving to death, experts say.

With parts of the state still covered by nearly 2 feet of hard-packed snow, it’s become increasingly difficult for them to find food.
