FRYEBURG, Maine — The public hearing held Tuesday at the American Legion Building by the Fryeburg Economic Development Committee on a proposed Tax Increment Financing District turned raucous, with police having to remove one of the approximately 40 attendees from the room.

The proposed TIF would mainly fall within the town's industrial zone, which runs along Porter Road, and would cover 758 of the town’s 42,169 acres.
