BARTLETT — Ten local fire departments responded to a third-alarm structure fire at Attitash Mountain Village’s Building 7 on River Run Road in Bartlett on Wednesday after noon. According to Bartlett Fire Chief Jeff Currier, no one was injured and a majority of the building was saved, but lodging units on the upper floors were heavily damaged.

“We were toned for a building with smoke coming from the roof, and we didn’t know if we had a fire yet,” Currier told the Sun. “Upon arrival, it was obvious we had a working fire, so we went to a first alarm.” Due to a lack of personnel midweek, however, he called for a second alarm, then bumped it to a third alarm about an hour into battling the blaze.
