CONWAY — Friday is the official start date of the selectmen’s rental license/inspection program, but the deputy town manager says staff have already received a handful of applications.

On Aug. 1, selectmen voted 5-0 to start on Sept. 1 the program covering long- and short-term rentals. Property owners have until Jan. 1, 2024, to get their licenses. The vote came after public hearings held July 18 and Aug. 1.
