LANCASTER — Convicted for the theft of 14 solar lights from the Berlin Riverwalk last year, Christopher Ingalls received a suspended prison sentence and must pay almost $16,000 to reimburse the city’s insurance carrier.
Ingalls, 33, of Berlin was charged with the felony count of theft by unauthorized taking for removing the solar lights on the 1,400-foot multi-use walk along the Androscoggin River. The riverwalk had been completed approximately six months earlier when 11 of the solar lights were discovered missing on the morning of May 23, 2023. The next day three more solar lights were reported stolen.
