BARTLETT — A Bartlett police officer got the chance to bond with a button buck last Friday night when the deer decided to take a rest in the middle of Route 16/302 in Intervale.

A button buck is a male fawn six months of age or younger. He's called a button buck because although his antlers haven't yet grown, two bumps or "buttons" have emerged on top of his head.
