RANDOLPH — Work funded by a Recreational Trails Program grant began recently to restore the state-owned, multi-use Presidential Rail Trail/Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail.

Romik Developers of Berlin delivered three separate pieces of heavy equipment — an excavator, a grader and a roller — on Sept. 3 to the eastern-most point of the restoration project: Pinkham B Road (Dolly Copp Road), south of Route 2, and work began the following day.
