CONWAY — Childhood food insecurity is a national problem that touches communities, including here in the Mount Washington Valley.

Mandy McDonald, the family liaison for the Kennett Middle School, along with a collection of volunteers. are trying to make sure no child goes hungry, especially on weekends. But with increased food prices and a decrease in donations, the local “End 68 Hours of Hunger” chapter was faced with not being able to afford to provide food for hungry kids.
