On Tuesday I attended an event at the Chocorua Community Church honoring veterans of all wars and eras, including The Civil War, The Two World Wars, The Vietnam, Korea and recent wars in the Middle East.

At the front of the church was a display with letters from those serving in the military, folded flags honoring deceased veterans, photographs of our heroes in military uniform and all manner of memorabilia, lovingly coordinated by retired Sgt. Peg Poirier and Erica Boynton. Thanks to Cook Memorial Library, The Tamworth History Center and The Remick Farm and Museum and everyone who contributed in any way.
