"To the Arctic — Canoeing the Coppermine River" will be at the Whitney Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. Rich Crowley will shares his most recent adventure, paddling 220 miles through the rapids of the Coppermine River in Nunavat, Canada. Crowley is a lifelong hiker who got his start in the White Mountains at age 5. While hiking is still his favorite outdoor activity, he did discover paddling later in life; first sea kayaking and later, white water canoeing. The Coppermine is his third river trip in Northwest Canada.
