Today is Voting Day and everyone must get out to vote. It is our privilege and right to be able to vote the way we want in this country, and you all need to exercise that right today at the Eaton Town Hall from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. You must bring your license or an ID to vote. Please bring along some money to buy the excellent baked goods provided by our wonderful Eaton bakers. Thank you to all of them and to everyone who has to be at our town hall all day long.
Everyone knows and loves the Rev. Mary Edes, who has been such an inspiration to this valley with her singing, her gentleness, her empathy and her humor. Edes will lead the South Eaton Meeting House’s annual Thanksgiving service to be held the Sunday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m. Participants will meet at this historic building to sing familiar hymns and listen to the words of Edes. Her sermon is titled “At This Table: In the Midst of Life With All Its Complexities and Beauty We Will Gather Together and Remember What Holds Us In Community.” Ray Stineford, organist, will accompany our singing on the beautiful reed organ.
