EFFINGHAM — Effingham Writers' Night celebrates March with music and stories, poetry and songs with singer/songwriter Taylor Whiteside and writer Terry Farish on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Effingham Public Library at 30 Town House Road in Effingham.

Farish has been writing novels and nonfiction about refugees and immigrants for many years, informed by her early work for the Red Cross in Vietnam. She takes readers past the news accounts and into the hearts and dreams of new Americans.
