CONWAY — The 14th annual Cupcake Battle, to benefit Mount Washington Valley Promotions, was held on Feb. 22 at the North Conway Community Center.
Nineteen bakers competed in three categories for cash prizes at the wintery event. Melissa Bedient, of The Boujee Cupcake, in South Tamworth, earned her second top prize in the Professional Baker group. The winning flavor was Tiramisu. It was a vanilla cupcake, with an espresso simple syrup soak, filled and frosted with a mascarpone whipped cream and dusted with cocoa powder.
