Legendary automotive icon Carroll Shelby (above) nudges up to the starting line of the 1956 Climb to the Clouds in his Ferrari 375 GP. PINKHAM NOTCH — Officials with the Mt. Washington Auto Road and Sports Car Club of New Hampshire announced Tuesday that one of the nation’s oldest automobile races will be returning to the Northeast’s tallest peak July 9-12.
Organized and sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of New Hampshire, the 2020 Mt. Washington Hillclimb will be a three-day motorsports festival that includes an 80-car field comprising some of the best drivers in the world as well as a contingent of rare vintage race and rally cars.
