OSSIPEE — Since World War II, the valley's premium lumberyard in Center Ossipee has been open under various owners, but it really came into its own in 1985, when Jim Skehan and his family bought the business.

Jim graduated from Suffolk University in Boston in 1973 with a business degree. He began his career working for Diamond International, a major lumber company. During his time there, he traveled throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire for 12 years before deciding to go back to school and receive his MBA in order to open a business of his own.
