Hancock Lumber Player of the Week Kaitlin Lane

When senior Kaitlin Lane decided to join the Lake Region Track & Field team this spring, the coaching staff was thrilled.

“I was surprised, but equally excited when Kaitlin decided to come out for our outdoor track and field team. I knew her leadership would be helpful for our newcomers,” Coach Mark Snow said. “I hoped she would enjoy throwing three implements more than only the shot we throw indoors. She has taken to the new throwing events (javelin & discus) well and has a decent chance of placing in the discus and shot put in our league championships (this Saturday at LRHS starting at 9 a.m.).”
