NAPLES — Marilyn E. “Polly” Bishop Glavine passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, with her son, Jim at her side. She resided at Schooner Estates where she had lived since November 1, 2021, after the passing of her husband Jack. Polly was born in St. Albans, Maine on Sept. 23, 1931, the sixth child of Elizabeth White Bishop and Frank Harrison Bishop.

Polly was married to Jack for 67 years and they spent the last 35 years of their lives together in Naples, Maine. Polly was active in her church, where she sang in the choir, with “The Praise Singers,” and played duets with the church organist. She will also be remembered for the beautiful floral arrangements which she often brought for the altar.
