BROWNFIELD — Animal lovers and art enthusiasts alike are invited to a one-of-a-kind creative experience at the Stone Mountain Arts Center (SMAC) on Sunday, June 14, for a special Paint Your Pet Night led by artist Octavia Bishop.
Octavia Bishop is a Maine-based self-taught visual artist known for her vibrant, whimsical paintings, murals, and animal-inspired artwork. She creates original paintings, large-scale murals, pet portraits, and teaches art workshops. She has painted murals around Maine, including a fantasy forest mural at the green room of the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield. Octavia describes much of her art as narrative and imaginative, often inspired by animals and symbolism. In recent years she has built a strong following through mural videos, commissioned artwork, and social media showcasing her creative process.
