Over the past couple of years, the name DJ Johnson has been mentioned numerous times here in The Berlin Sun sports' section.  He has coached and otherwise been involved in baseball at all levels from Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth in the Berlin area.  After spending some time with him and inquiring about his baseball background and so forth, DJ shared his story with me, and with his permission, I am now going to share with you.

Duane Johnson was born and brought up in the Auburn/Manchester area, and with a dad who had been a co-founder of the Youngsville Little League program in that area and coached it for many years, and he and his older brother played baseball, of course.
