GREEN’S GRANT — The New England Nordic Ski Association recently selected Sue Wemyss as the recipient of this year’s Bill Koch League Leadership Award. A member of the U.S. 1984 Olympic cross-country team, Wemyss, who heads up the Great Glen BKL chapter, lives in Randolph and summers in Green’s Grant, an Unincorporated Place.

“Sue truly embodies the philosophy of the Bill Koch League, which can be summed up as ‘give kids the opportunity to have fun while learning how to cross-country ski,’” states NENSA’s press release. “Sue is a true torchbearer of NENSA’s approach to skiing, keeping things fun for the youth skiers … while providing excellent instruction and helping them learn the joy of going fast on skis.”
