GORHAM — The Gorham Middle High School coed golf team continued its strong season with four matches over the past two weeks, earning two first-place finishes and two runner-up finishes. The Huskies finished second at home Sept. 8 and again at Maplewood Country Club Sept. 10, then placed second Sept. 14 before breaking through with a first-place finish at Woodsville Sept. 16.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Gorham hosted White Mountains Regional, Farmington and Littleton. White Mountains Regional took first with 84 points, followed by Gorham with 74, Farmington with 50 and Littleton with 20. Cooper Ladd led the field with 26 points, while White Mountains Regional's Ben Hicks finished second with 23. Gorham's Ben Chauvette scored 19 points for third, followed by teammate Owen O'Neil with 17.
