BERLIN — There will be several new state representatives joining the New Hampshire Legislature, as Nov. 3 general election results from the North Country show.

In Berlin, voters re-elected incumbent and Republican Peter Morency, a former police chief and current city councilor to Coos District 5, where two seats were open. Republican Mark Evans, a current school board member and acupuncturist by profession, won the second seat. Morency earned 1,577 votes and Evans, 1,534. Cassie Mason placed third, with 987 votes. Mason ran as an Independent and to do so to be on the ballot, she collected 150-plus signatures from registered voters in Berlin. She serves on the city’s Planning Board.
